Just had to add these pics!

Okay - I just had to add these pics as someone was just loving getting changed earlier. She loved being able to pull her socks off and put her toes in her mouth!! Oh to be that flexible! Will update again this weekend after Taylor's baptism this Sunday.

Merry Christmas continued

So Santa was very good to Taylor. She received some dolls, bears, books, and other toys. She also got lots and lots of clothes. Mommy will include a picture of our tree with all of the gifts. Please note that none of Mommy and Daddy's presents would fit under the tree - just Taylor's!! Taylor especially enjoyed auntie K reading her "An Aussie Night Before Christmas".

Taylor will be 6 months old next week - where did the time go? It will be interesting to see how much she weighs and how tall she is. Both measurements will be high up in the percentiles I am sure! She now rolls from her back to her belly and vice versa and she LOVES to sit up and put some weight on her feet. She has just discovered the Exersaucer and is enjoying that as well.

Hope that you saw my picture in yesterday's paper! Mommy realized after she got the picture back that I am actually sticking my tongue out in it! That seems to be my latest favourite thing to do.

We hope that each and every one of you had an enjoyable Christmas and all the best for 2007!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope that you all had a great holiday with lots of good times spent with family & friends and lots of good food to eat. I'm attaching a few photos that were taken over the holidays. They include shots of Taylor and her auntie K (including Auntie reading "An Aussie Night Before Christmas"- Thanks Anne!); Taylor, Mommy and Auntie K; Taylor and Grampy Donnie; Taylor and Daddy; Taylor & Grampy Cecil, and Taylor and Great Grammy Bea.

I rolled over today!!!

Well Taylor turned 5 months on Monday and today she rolled over for the first time!! I still don't know if she figured out what she did. One minute she was just laying in her play gym playing away and the next minute she rolled over to her left and was on her tummy. She propped herself up on her hands and looked around as if to say what happened?

Yesterday was a special day as well as Taylor finally got to meet her Auntie Krista. Krista still has yet to sign up for diaper duty but we will continue to work on that. Taylor didn't cry at all when Mommy handed her over to Krista. Taylor just looked at her and was as happy as can be.

Kisses from Mommy!

Here I am getting kisses from Mommy on her birthday! It should be the other way around but I just haven't gotten around to giving them out yet! This picture was taken on Sunday at Grampy's place. We were there for brunch - Nana Barb made some yummy waffles, along with fruit salad and bacon. The outside pictures were taken on Saturday. Mommy decided that she wanted to take a picture of me with a pumpkin. So, she got me dressed up in my Hallowe'en costume, propped me up in a deck chair with a pillow, blanket and a pumpkin and snapped a few shots. Aren't I cute?

Well it was a beautiful weekend around here weather-wise. Hung clothes on the line on Friday while wearing a tee-shirt. Saturday afternoon, I got to plant my tulip bulbs and Trevor cut the grass for the last time. To give you an idea as to how nice it is has been Krista, it is supposed to be 18 degrees here on Friday!!! Hopefully, it will continue to be nice like this until you get home Kris - whenever that might be. Hurry up and book your plane ticket already - somebody wants to meet you.

Oh well, better run as someone is waking up from their morning nap!

Trick or Treat

Happy Hallowe'en everyone!! Well when you can't decide which costume to wear, wear both! Grampy and Nana bough Taylor these 2 costumes on their recent trip through the States. The pumpkin costume was the original purchase and looked great on Taylor when you added the hat. Of course, Taylor is not too fond of having something on her head so this didn't last too long. Her other costume looked adorable on her - the plant outfit was Mommy's favorite! I just love her in this getup.

We didn't do a lot of trick or treating but we did go and see Nana and Grampy, Meme, Grammy Dorothy, Anna & Charlie, Liz, Gordon & Maureen (got to check out Moe's new ring!!!! Beautiful), Dot at Meme's shop and the gang at school. Grammy Dorothy gave Taylor a new sleeper for Hallowe'en and Meme gave her some wipes.

We were talking to Auntie Krista on Sunday and we can't wait to meet her!! Hopefully she will be home in a few weeks. We are looking at getting Taylor baptized while Krista is home in December. We will definitely keep everyone informed of our plans.

I can suck my right thumb too!

Hi everyone! Hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had our third turkey dinner this week last night at Dad & Barb's house & was it ever good!!! Can't have too much turkey. We were supposed to take a 4 generations picture last night but unfortunately, Taylor fell asleep while we were eating supper and she stayed asleep until it was time to leave. She is getting to be so big - not exactly sure how much she weighs but I would guess that she is close to 16 pounds. As you can see in the picture, she is now sucking her right thumb too! For a while she would only stick the left one in her mouth. I guess she isn't too picky about it anymore.

Well what a great week it was overall. Krista, there were 2 days this week when the temperature was over 20 degrees. Not bad for the middle of October. Went to a scrapbooking retreat this weekend where I managed to complete 8 pages for Taylor's scrapbook. It is coming together quite nicely.

More pictures for Auntie Krista as requested. The other pictures that are attached were taken at Anna and Charlie's 40th anniversary party that was held last Saturday night. One is of Mom (Meme) and Taylor and the picture is of Trevor, Taylor and I. Now Kris, it is your turn for more pics on your blog!!

I'm sleeping through the night!!!

Oh what great news we have to share - Taylor is now sleeping through the night!! I guess it all started last Tuesday night when she didn't have a good night at all. It was 3:30 before she finally settled into a deep sleep. Maybe she wore herself out because that night she went to sleep a little bit earlier (1 or so) but then Thursday night, she fell asleep around 10:15-10:30 and slept til 7:30 the next morning!! She has kept this up ever since. She goes to sleep somewhere between 10 and 11 and gets up between 7 and 8:15.

Who needs a soother?

Who needs a soother when you have a perfectly acceptable thumb to suck. So this is Taylor's latest thing - sucking her thumb!! Daddy just loves it when she does this. And, there is more than one way to do it: your fingers can be all spread out like you are waving, they can be plastered all over your face or the more conventional method with yout fingers all curled up.

For my Auntie Krista!!

Hi Auntie Krista!! This posting is especially for you seen as how you keep asking for pictures!! I am just over 11 weeks old right now and all of these pictures have been taken in the last week. I am currently having a nap in my swing for I thought that I would let Mommy do a little write-up for me. Hopefully, this won't affect my sleeping tonight. Mommy was so happy with me this morning as I slept from midnight to 7 am!!!!!!! Well, Taylor keeps growing and growing having gained 9 ounces in one week. She is now 13 pounds and is 23 3/4 inches long. (Or at least she was last Thursday!) Yesterday, we went to town, visited with Grampy and great-Grammie and got groceries. Today, we went for a drive with Meme. Had lunch at Rachael's Ristorante (YUMMY!!) and then took the back roads home. Tomorrow, Taylor gets to stay home with Daddy as my friends & I are going to a Christmas Card class. This will be the longest that I will have been away from Taylor - about 6 hours. Let's see how Daddy feels when I get home. The pictures are showing Taylor wearing a hand-crafted shirt that Auntie K bought her in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is beautiful on her and still big enough for to be able to wear it for a while. You can also see how much she enjoys her chair! Hope this satisfies your curiousity for a while Auntie K!! We can't wait to see & meet you.

Mommy and me time

Well today was the first time that Taylor and I had a Mommy and me time with some other mommies and their babies. Krista MacNeill called the other day to let me know that some mommies were going to be getting together so that they could have some normal conversation during the day. Krista's daughter Jada was born the same day as Taylor but she is not as big. I definitely have a well-fed little girl. We are off to the doctor tomorrow so we will have some idea as to how much this little girl has grown in the past week.

I'm getting to be a big girl!

Sorry for the dealy between posts everyone! We decided to get the carpets cleaned before Trevor went back to work and in my infinite wisdom, I decided that it would be the perfect time to paint the office. Well the carpets are clean, the office has been painted and the computer is finally back together.

Well Taylor has certainly grown over the past couple of weeks!!! She went to the public health office last Thursday for her two month needles and so I decided to have her weighed while we were there. She was 10 pounds at her last doctor's appointment 3 weeks earlier and this time was up to 12 pounds 7 ounces!!! She is 23 inches long as well. I couldn't believe how much she had grown in such a short period of time. She has her 10 week check-up this week so we will see what she has gained in a week.

She was certainly a good little girl at her appointment. She shed some tears after the first needle and still had to get 2 more! Those were the first tears she has ever shed. She was a little drowsy that night but really got along well.

We heard from Auntie Krista the other day and are anxiously waiting to meet her this December. I'm sure that she will spoil her rotten with a lot of attention.

Oh well - time to go - someone is HUNGRY!

Growing Like a Weed

Taylor had her 6 week checkup Monday - she is getting big! She weighed in at 10 pounds which put her in the 50th percentile and she was 22 7/8 inches long which put her in the 90th percentile for height. The picture on the right is Taylor at 6 weeks (asleep in Grampy's arms).

Last Saturday, my cousin Tina had a family shower for Taylor. She received so many nice things. She will be a stylish little girl. (I think that she might have more clothes than me right now!) The pink outfit that she is wearing is from cousin Anne in Oz!! She looks adorable.

This Saturday we are taking our first trip across the bridge to go to Daddy's friend's wedding. Now Taylor will get to meet more of Daddy's friends. Meme is coming along too and we will also get to visit with Auntie Meg and hopefully Moira & Michelle too.

A scrappin we go...

Not even 6 weeks old and shopping already!! Today was our first trip to the Paper Attic. Shannon, Sue, Taylor & I went out for lunch and then headed over to the Attic for their yard sale. We managed to leave without buying out the place - only a few things for Taylor's scrapbook.

Off to Charlottetown in a few minutes to say goodbye to Auntie Jenn & Ava as they head back to Calgary. We'll miss them but at least the next time we see them Taylor will have a new cousin to play with.
