Who needs a soother?

Who needs a soother when you have a perfectly acceptable thumb to suck. So this is Taylor's latest thing - sucking her thumb!! Daddy just loves it when she does this. And, there is more than one way to do it: your fingers can be all spread out like you are waving, they can be plastered all over your face or the more conventional method with yout fingers all curled up.

For my Auntie Krista!!

Hi Auntie Krista!! This posting is especially for you seen as how you keep asking for pictures!! I am just over 11 weeks old right now and all of these pictures have been taken in the last week. I am currently having a nap in my swing for I thought that I would let Mommy do a little write-up for me. Hopefully, this won't affect my sleeping tonight. Mommy was so happy with me this morning as I slept from midnight to 7 am!!!!!!! Well, Taylor keeps growing and growing having gained 9 ounces in one week. She is now 13 pounds and is 23 3/4 inches long. (Or at least she was last Thursday!) Yesterday, we went to town, visited with Grampy and great-Grammie and got groceries. Today, we went for a drive with Meme. Had lunch at Rachael's Ristorante (YUMMY!!) and then took the back roads home. Tomorrow, Taylor gets to stay home with Daddy as my friends & I are going to a Christmas Card class. This will be the longest that I will have been away from Taylor - about 6 hours. Let's see how Daddy feels when I get home. The pictures are showing Taylor wearing a hand-crafted shirt that Auntie K bought her in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is beautiful on her and still big enough for to be able to wear it for a while. You can also see how much she enjoys her chair! Hope this satisfies your curiousity for a while Auntie K!! We can't wait to see & meet you.

Mommy and me time

Well today was the first time that Taylor and I had a Mommy and me time with some other mommies and their babies. Krista MacNeill called the other day to let me know that some mommies were going to be getting together so that they could have some normal conversation during the day. Krista's daughter Jada was born the same day as Taylor but she is not as big. I definitely have a well-fed little girl. We are off to the doctor tomorrow so we will have some idea as to how much this little girl has grown in the past week.

I'm getting to be a big girl!

Sorry for the dealy between posts everyone! We decided to get the carpets cleaned before Trevor went back to work and in my infinite wisdom, I decided that it would be the perfect time to paint the office. Well the carpets are clean, the office has been painted and the computer is finally back together.

Well Taylor has certainly grown over the past couple of weeks!!! She went to the public health office last Thursday for her two month needles and so I decided to have her weighed while we were there. She was 10 pounds at her last doctor's appointment 3 weeks earlier and this time was up to 12 pounds 7 ounces!!! She is 23 inches long as well. I couldn't believe how much she had grown in such a short period of time. She has her 10 week check-up this week so we will see what she has gained in a week.

She was certainly a good little girl at her appointment. She shed some tears after the first needle and still had to get 2 more! Those were the first tears she has ever shed. She was a little drowsy that night but really got along well.

We heard from Auntie Krista the other day and are anxiously waiting to meet her this December. I'm sure that she will spoil her rotten with a lot of attention.

Oh well - time to go - someone is HUNGRY!
