I can sleep through anything!!!

You know that you are a sound sleeper when you are out cold on Daddy's lap with 400 people around you cheering, stomping their feet & clapping. Let's not forget the noisemakers too!! This picture was taken yesterday at the provincial basketball championships. Taylor managed to fall asleep while sitting with Mommy in the front row and then the sleep continued in Daddy's lap for about 20 minutes or so (until the game was over). She had a great time and was a very good girl.

Today, she decided to let Mommy & Daddy sleep in til 10 after 8. Then we got up, had breakfast and went to church. I was a really good little girl there too! After church, we went to Grammie Dorothy's where Taylor had her lunch; then, Mommy, Daddy, Grampy Cecil and Grammy Dorothy took me out for brunch. It was very good. In the end though, I was really tired so I came home and had a sleep on Mommy and Daddy's bed for almost 3 hours!!!

Just read Auntie Krista's blog. Looks like she is having lots of fun in Europe. Sure can't wait to see her again soon!

I went swimming!

Well we thought that you should know that Taylor has had her first experience in the pool. Yesterday, we went to the pool at the university, along with some other Moms and babies. There were 9 of us in total. We spent over an hour and a half in the pool and Taylor just loved it! She liked bouncing up and down in the water, laying on her back and floating (with Mommy's hand underneath her) and sitting in the floating boat that they use for the Mommy and me exercise class. Acutally, I think that she enjoyed it most of all. She was leaning back in it with one arm up by the "steering wheel" and her other arm resting on what would be the arm rest - just like Daddy. Sorry there are no pictures - no cameras allowed on the pool deck!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Well here I am in my first valentine's picture. As you can see, I am now sitting up. I have it pretty much mastered but still manage to fall over sometimes. Now if I could only manage to pull myself back up to sitting after I fall! Here I am playing with one of my presents. I got a new pair of pink kitten robeez, an Elmo phone, a set of blocks and a set of keys, as well as, socks and a pink onesie for Valentine gifts. I'd really like to get my hands on Mommy and Daddy's chocolates though - they look yummy!!

Well Grampy Donnie, Grammy Edie and Grammy Bea are heading to Calgary today to see my new cousin Owen. AND Meme is leaving tomorrow for Bermuda. Thankfully Grampy Cecil and Nana Barb just got back from visiting with Cameron in Toronto so at least I still have some people nearby who will spoil me rotten with attention!

7 Months Old!

Well here I am 7 months old already!!! I went for my needles the other day and got a clean bill of health. I am now 19 pounds 8 ounces (94th percentile) and 27 inches long (86th percentile). Mommy is really happy with my progress. I am now eating all of my veggies and starting to enjoy fruit as well. I now eat carrots, peas, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans and pears. I am going to try a new fruit today but don't know which one Mommy is going to give me yet. Here is a picture of me eating sweet potatoes:

Unfortunately for Mommy, I am not really big on taking naps. Often just a half hour nap in the morning and another half hour nap in the afternoon. This doesn't leave Mommy lots of time to update my blog. Lucky for me today, Meme is here so Mommy can post these pictures of me. Mommy is also including a picture of me having a crazy hair day.
