New pics

Here are some new pics that Mommy took over the last couple of weeks. It has been really hot here (30 degrees or so) so I have been trying to find ways to stay cool. So here I am playing in the water at Auntie Liz's cottage, trying to have a taste of Dad's drink and exhausted after a day at the cottage. I was asleep after being in in the truck for 2 minutes!! The next pictures are of me Mommy's friend's (Trudy) pool and playing with my water table. There is also a picture of me at the Crapaud parade last night!

It's Auntie Krista's Birthday!

I'm soooo excited cause it is Auntie Krista's birthday!!! YEAH!! Unfortunately, I have to wait til October to have birthday cake with her but I did try some strawberries for the first time to day as a way to celebrate. Can't wait to see you again Auntie K - Mommy can even make a cake for you as she has made 3 for me so far : )

So today was 1 year checkup today at the doctor. It was not a nice experience at all as it was really warm in there (no air conditioner), they made me wait wearing only my diaper and then (if that wasn't bad enough), they stuck me with a needle!!!!!! After a LOT of screaming and crying, Mommy and Daddy learned that I weigh about 24 pounds & 6 ounces which puts me in the 90th percentile (kinda hard to tell when I want to cling on to Mommy). Also, I am 31 1/4 inches long or the 96th percentile. Thankfully, I don't have to go back to the doctor for a whole year!

A busy weekend

Well what a busy weekend it was!!! First on Friday night, we went to Grampy and Nana's for supper for Grampy's birthday. It was yummy - I even got to have some birthday cake!!!! Then Saturday morning, we went to visit with Ryan, Heather and Rowan who were here from Waterloo. Here is a picture of my buddy, Rowan. He is too cute but I wasn't sure about getting a hug as you can tell from the picture: )

Just a couple of pics that Mommy took of me the past couple of weeks. The first one is of me having some banana at lunch time!! I missed my mouth and had a piece sitting on my nose but I couldn't care less as you can tell from my smile. The other 2 are of me with my first ice cream cone. It tasted okay but I had no idea what to do with it. Are you that it was a small Mommy?

Here are some more pics from my first birthday! Here I am examining one of my presents - like my water table? I can't wait to play with it. Daddy thought that he'd take the picture of me as he was going down the stairs so it looks like I am in jail!!! There I am in my new dress (the one with the fish on it) all the way from France!!!!

It's my birthday!!!!

Today is July 4th and I am now an official 1 year old!!! I had a pretty good day and it all started with me sleeping in til 8:45! Mommy and Daddy didn't mind that either : ) So I spent my morning playing and enjoying myself. I then had a nap, had a bottle and talked to my Aunite Krista who was in Romania!!! She made me open my present before I had my lunch and I was happy to find a Paris t-shirt and a beautiful linen dress with embroidered fish on it. I then went to eat my lunch and before I had my fruit was finished, Grammy Dorothy and Sarah stopped in for a visit. Grammy brought a present of a new pair of sleepers! Well before Grammy and Sarah left, Meme and PD arrived. Meme brought me a new tank top and short set. She left around 4 when I decided that I needed another nap. Who knew opening presents could wear you out so much??

I then had my supper and then Grampy and Nana arrived. We had birthday cake - carrot cake with cream cheese icing. It was yummy!! I didn't even make a really big mess. I then got to open the rest of my presents. I got 3 books from my cousin Anne in Oz which I seem thoroughly enjoy already hving flipped through them numerous times. I also received a water table from Grampy and Nana, a pair of pink pajamas that say I love my cat on them from Knight and Cece, and 3 summer outfits from Mommy and Daddy! I am also having a small party on Saturday and will get to see my Grammy and Grampy Bridges then.

So here it is 10:15 and she has just settled in for the night - a whole 45 minutes earlier than last night. Anywyas Mommy better go and clean up the kitchen!

A long, long time!

Hi everyone,

Sorry that it has been such a long, long time between posts. I have an 11 month old who is not a big sleeper and trying to get work done for my M.Ed. courses took precedence. Anyways, I now have 2 courses completed and I don't officially start the program til September!!

Well Taylor is a VERY active little girl. It was hard to get her to sit still long enough to take these pics. If I could get her to sit still, I couldn't manage to get her to look at me and smile. She loves to look at books and throw things all over the floor! She still only has 2 bottom teeth and has been walking around the furniture since the 28th of April. She loves to explore and chase the cats when ever she can.

It is hard to belive that she will be a year old in 4 weeks!! Where has the time gone?

Will have to add some more later of her reading her book from Anne in Oz - how do you pronounce some of those animals, Anne? Also Anne, thanks for the t-shirts. She especially like the pink one with the koala on it!
